International Students
Multiculturalism, Growing and Learning Together
Assisting international students and returning families in understanding the admissions process, academic transition, and campus life
Diverse Backgrounds, Shared Excellence
Vivaldi is committed to creating a "mini-UN" campus ecosystem. We admit students with global perspectives and multicultural backgrounds. Through our professional transition system, international students can maintain their English language advantages while deeply rooting their foundation in Mandarin Chinese.
Holistic Review Admissions Criteria
We do not rely on single written test rankings. Instead, we reference international standards such as CCSS and CEFR to conduct a three-dimensional assessment
Assessment Dimension | Evaluation Content | Assessment Tools |
|---|---|---|
1. Cognition & Potential | Logical reasoning, spatial thinking, problem-solving skills | WISC-V Intelligence Test (partial) or non-verbal logic tests |
Language & Expression | English (primary) and Mandarin (reference) listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills | CEFR English placement test, CSL (Chinese as a Second Language) proficiency estimation |
Talents & Personality | Musical talent, exercise habits, team leadership, emotional resilience | Portfolio review, interviews, practical skills assessment |
Admissions SOP (The Enrollment Funnel)
Submit passport, overseas transcripts, and recommendation letters.
If the student is still overseas, a 30-minute bilingual interview will be conducted by the Principal or Director of Academic Affairs.
Includes mathematical logic, English, and basic Mandarin tests (this is not the sole criteria).
Students are invited to participate in a half-day of classes (can be conducted via video) to observe their social interactions with peers.
Upon admission, the school and parents will discuss the Individualized Learning Plan (ILP), focusing particularly on the reinforcement plan for CSL.

International School Campus Life
A "Soft Landing" Support System Designed for Overseas and International Students
Scaffolded CSL Courses
For students with no foundational Mandarin, we offer 1-2 intensive Mandarin classes daily, focusing on "communicative functions" and "academic Chinese."
Cultural Guides (Buddies)
Each overseas/international student is paired with an English-speaking Taiwanese student buddy to help them understand Taiwanese campus culture and daily customs.
Bilingual Administrative Support
All parent communication books, notices, and report cards are bilingual (Chinese and English) to ensure parents can fully participate in their child's learning progress.
Expected Outcomes and Value
- Campus Cultural Diversity: The inclusion of international students allows local students to practice "global mobility" in their daily lives.
- Academic Complementarity: The English fluency of international students drives the language atmosphere of the entire school, while Vivaldi’s solid math, science, and Mandarin training fills their academic gaps upon returning home or advancing to higher education.
- Brand Internationalization: Successful admissions cases of international students will elevate Vivaldi's educational reputation in Southeast Asia and Chinese-speaking communities in Europe and America.
